The top destinations country’s of Filipinos are the United States (33%), Saudi Arabia (15%), Canada (8%), United Arab Emirates (7%), Malaysia (5%), Australia (4%), Qatar (3%), Japan (2%), United Kingdom (2%) and Kuwait (2%).
In country’s such as Singapore and Saudi Arabia skilled migrant workers may bring along family members as part of a company’s remuneration package.
It is estimated that 12.4 million Philippine born Filipinos are residing or working overseas, this is due to increase a lot more in the coming couple of years.

According to Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas, overseas Filipinos remitted $21.6 billion last year.

Some Filipinos around the globe are mainly workers and some are immigrants. Immigrants as well as working people. many of them have their families left behind ,so the case would be they will be sending money to their families back home, these a very good thing for the Philippines because it contributes great amount to the country’s economy, but the question is, do the government give any compensation to the people especially OFW? There are some news that some Filipino Workers were abused in some other countries and seems that the government is too slow responding to its needs, its sad to say that some went home in their corpse, lucky to those who still breathing and be able to see and reunited with their family again.
