New Home from Philippines to Australia
Looking back on the first three months when i first came to Australia, it wasn’t easy especially if we’re talking about homesickness. At first you compare places and think which place is a good place to stay, but at the end of the day you’ll think “there’s no place like home”, but you have to embrace the choice you’ve made in the first place.

That’s why I am here now, from the Philippines to Australia, i met my loving husband and then we get married and that’s it i am happy we are together now. Coming to Australia I would say is been blessed because it didn’t took me years to come and the process was so quick with the help of our friend whom a migration agent.
Moving to Australia from the Philippines
I first came here October 2011 as a tourist, spent two months stay and then my fiancee visa get approved,so I went to the Philippines on February 2012 to get my passport stamped. Luckily I went back Australia four weeks later, get married and now i got my temporary resident visa a month after that.I would say i am so lucky because all the processing all went well, visa was granted so quick, and now the best blessings is to have my twins.
Talking about homesickness,on the first three months it was really hard to adjust but then i started meeting people in our town where there is a Filipino Community, and church where i can met and socialize with fellow Filipinos. My husband also has co-workers who are Filipinos and they became my neighbor and family here in Australia, its hard but at least you know there are people who are always helping and always there to be with you. Anyway, talking about food, today i just had milkfish for lunch. Thanks for the Philippine shop next town, at least if I miss some Filipino foods i can still make some buy buying some stuff from their store.Sometimes other filipinos have occasions such as birthdays and weddings, they be able to prepare “lechon” or roast pig.It still feels like home. Even if you are far from your country and family, these people will let you feel your at home. For now I am excited because we are planning to have a vacation in the Philippines this year, so I am looking forward to it.See yah home.!
