Went down the the Melbourne Aquarium yesterday with the wife Michelle and her sister Mylaine what a day rain cold, cold and rain. We left home at 730am getting there about 10 the traffic was Kaos.
This is the 5 time we have been there, and by golly the prices have seen to escalated considerably paying $114.00 for 3 adults Luckily the twins were free entry being under 2 year old. We took the pram in and thought okay saves the kids getting tired walking walking. The aquarium seems to always get better with its displays always improving visitors satisfaction, it was a good day apart from being small and located right on the backs of the Yarra river in the smack bang middle of Melbourne right across the river from the famous Crown Casino Complex.
The trip was overly good, the only drawback was the prices, and the escalator was out of action again I remember this to of been a problem last time we visited 2 years ago. They have 2 elevators within the complex and because the escalator wasn’t going every man and his dog was using the elevators as there mainly suppose to be used older people and parents with prams, being that the aqaurium is spread over 3 levels, the top is ground level and the other 2 levels were under ground within the Yarra river.
Now the amount people that visit the complex I recon it was 100-150 per hour and the money involved would of been in the thousands per hour. And they couldn’t fix a simple elevator, come on who are they kidding. Melbourne Aquarium is the 3 most visited tourist destination within the city.
Not being a person to complain, well most of the time I thought this problem could of been simply rectified, not be a nuisance for its visitors waiting for 5-10 min for the elevators to free up as walking people couldn’t access the other levels, it was a real pain in the rear. We hope on our next visit this will be rectified. I left my views in there machine they have for visitors how to improve there visit..
